Black Cab Sessions
http://www.blackcabsessions.com/
I want you to imagine, just for a moment, that you’re in London. Well, some of you already are, but the rest of you will have to use your imaginations. You try to hail one of those nifty-cool black cabs that Stephen Fry drives, but the one you tried to hail just drove past - but you notice two things about it as it passes you by: a) Stephen Fry was not driving (boo!), and b) was that really The New Pornographers in the back seat, rocking out?
Yes. Yes, it was.
The Black Cab Sessions is a very cool experiment in music - get some really good musicians, stuff them in the back of a black cab, and force them to play songs. And just look who’s already performed: The New Pornographers, Elvis Perkins, The National, Cold War Kids - even classical music from Jonny Byers and Charlie Siem. There are some dud performers, too, but pay no attention to them. When you’re performing in the back of a black cab, you take what you can get. (Oo-er, etc.)
So, basically - go ye forth and listen/watch.

Dude, if the cab already had someone in the back, it wouldn’t have its light on, so only a complete drongo would try and hail it, innit.
But yes, this is an excellent idea, though I wonder how quickly the novelty will wear off. Good to see my sister’s mates (Hot Club de Paris) in there, as well.

That’s the only time I’ve ever heard anyone use the term “drongo” outside of Ben the Actor in Flight of the Conchords.
