End of the Conchords
It would appear that Jemaine Clement and Brett McKenzie are planning to end their HBO show after two seasons. I, for one, am disappointed. I suppose I should be used to this sort of thing, what with Fawlty Towers or The Office only having two series. Let’s hope that they have a long string of albums, at least.

I’m just delighted we’re getting a second season, considering most of their known songs were used up in the first.

Rumor has it they resorted to Rod Stewart covers to pad out the season.

I think what is most interesting (and perhaps promising) is that the article mentions their interest in acting. And, strangely, that McKenzie had auditioned for a part in Justice League of America.

I’m not going to claim to have Special Conchords Knowledge or anything, but I imagine they’ll continue to do things together in some capacity until they have a big fight and start to hate each other.
So far they’ve tried their hands at live performances, albums, a radio show, a television show…they may be done with TV but they’ll try something else, I’m sure.
Maybe a film? It’d be awesome to see a film where one of them finds a treasure map, and they have to go on some crazy trip to get to where the treasure is, and they find out that somebody built a big skyscraper over top of it, so they have to tunnel under it from like 50 miles away so nobody notices them doing it. Also, they have a pet monkey who slaps himself in the forehead whenever anything goes wrong.
