Straight out of Russia comes part two of the hit fantasy trilogy by Sergei Lukyanenko and directed by talented visionary Timur Bekmambetov, "Day Watch." If you didn't see "Night Watch" which was released early last year, I recommend you go out and rent it straight away. That is if you like fantasy epics set in modern day Moscow and involving vampire-like creatures that can morph, teleport, and do all sorts of cool tricks.

Personally I think Night Watch, although stylistically awesome and entertaining, was a bit messy in the plot department. Hopefully the next installment can clear up some questions and better establish certain characters.

From the looks of the trailer, the sequel will have a lot more action that looks nothing short of jaw-dropping. These films are the highest-grossing movies in Russia to date. And I must mention that Day Watch was released last year in Russia, but it will be released to theaters in June in the US. No word on a UK release date, but I suspect a DVD release will sprout up come Christmas time.
