UKGPOO
Would anyone like to inform me why UKG2 replaced the scheduled Top Gear at 15:00 with an episode of TOTP2?
Surely the best way to deal with what's happened to Richard Hammond is simply to enjoy his work?

I agree, but this sort of crap happens all the time, not just @ the UKTV channels.
Was it due to be one of the ones with a "crash* "...and he's dead. So if you want his job, write to us at...." crack (I remember at least two - one with Clarkson where he hairline-cracked his thumb driving into a dry "wall" of breezeblocks at 40mph [10mph faster than he was meant to, because the speedo on the banger he was using in the challenge was broken], and once with Hammond at the end of last series after he overturned the tiny black van he was trying to "escape" from "D.C. Stig" in). Plus I think there's an "On that bombshell..." or two where Clarkson jokes about them all getting killed.

If he'd died I reckon it would NEVER have returned, whether in repeat form or whatever. It might still get axed, unfairly. Granted, the BBC would axe it with a heavy heart, seeing as it is so popular worldwide.

Oh yeah, I know it isn't just UK Gold that does this. It just happened to be the first thing I picked up on.
It drives me absolutely up the fucking wall... but to be fair, broadcasters can't win. If they'd shown it, there would have been complaints. I just wish everyone would be a bit more sensible.

And on another note, I can't access NTS or G&T at all right now. Uni's openly blocked it, and it keeps timing out suspiciously on NTL. I had to fire Tor up to post this...

Noise to Signal and Ganymede & Titan were timing out on me for a couple of hours earlier today, too. And if your uni has a block on offensive content, well, right now G&T have a story up about "A Dwarf and Cock Story", so that might be it. (It's about the guy who played Petersen on RD, in one of his other appearances; but since it has "cock" in it, you might not be able to see it there for that reason.)

Yeah, sorry about that - we're having problems with our hosts. As usual.
I'm going to be investigating this this week - if it's not going to get better, we're moving hosts again.

Oh, and I'm not surprised your uni's blocked it. I couldn't access *any* of my sites at a library I went to recently. We're clearly far too edgy for TEH SYSTEM.
